Before you submit an Australian citizenship application, you must satisfy several requirements in addition to pass the citizenship test. These requirements include a minimum of three years of being temporary resident and one-year permanent residence or four years straight permanent residence. Once you pass the test, and your application is approved, you will receive an invitation to a citizenship ceremony.
